What to Expect on Cleaning Day

Knowing what to expect on cleaning day helps ensure a smooth experience for both you and your cleaner.

Before your cleaner arrives

You'll receive a booking confirmation with your cleaner's name and photo. If your cleaner is running late, we'll send you a message to keep you informed. To prepare for their arrival:

• Secure valuables, jewellery, and important documents in a safe place
• Put away personal items you'd prefer not to be moved
• Secure pets in a separate room or arrange for them to be elsewhere during the clean
• Clear surfaces and floors of clutter so they can be properly cleaned
• Ensure all rooms to be cleaned are accessible
• Leave out any cleaning supplies (or add our supplies pack to your booking)
• If you won't be home, arrange access via key safe, spare key with a neighbour, or entry code

When your cleaner arrives

Your cleaner will:

• Arrive within your booked time slot
• Introduce themselves if it's your first meeting
• Check in with you about any priorities or special requests
• Ask about any areas needing special attention or to avoid
• Get straight to work making your home sparkle

During the clean

You're welcome to stay home or go out during the clean. Your cleaner will work through each room systematically, following our cleaning checklist for your service type. If you're staying home:

• Feel free to continue with your day - you don't need to supervise
• Let your cleaner know if you need a specific room done first or last
• Your cleaner will work around you if you're in a room
• Don't hesitate to point out anything specific while they work

If you're not home

Many customers prefer to be out during the clean. If you've arranged access, your cleaner will:

• Let themselves in using the access method you provided
• Complete the clean as booked
• Lock up securely when they leave
• Return any keys to the agreed location

After the clean

Once finished, your cleaner will let you know they're done. If you're home, you can do a quick walkthrough together to ensure you're happy with everything. Payment is processed automatically after the clean is completed, and you'll receive a receipt by email.
