Updating Your Profile

How to edit your personal information and profile settings.

Keeping your profile up to date ensures we can provide the best possible service. Your profile contains important information that helps us communicate with you, assign the right cleaner, and process your bookings smoothly. You can access your profile settings from your dashboard by clicking on your name or avatar in the top right corner.

Accessing your profile

Your profile page is organised into four main sections, each accessible via tabs:

  • Personal Information - your name, phone number, and email
  • Payment Methods - your saved cards and billing details
  • My Addresses - locations where you receive cleaning services
  • Security - password and account security settings

Personal Information

In the Personal Information section, you can update the following details:

  • Full Name - your display name visible to our cleaners and on your bookings
  • Phone Number - your UK mobile number (format: 07123 456789) so we can contact you about your bookings
  • Email Address - displayed for reference but cannot be changed directly (contact support to update your email)
  • Marketing Preferences - opt in or out of marketing emails and newsletters about special offers and updates

Updating your name or phone number

To update your personal details:

  • Go to your Profile page from the dashboard
  • Select the "Personal Information" tab
  • Update your name or phone number in the fields provided
  • Click "Save Changes" to confirm your updates

Profile photo

Adding a profile photo helps your cleaner recognise you, which is especially useful if someone else lets them in or if you live in a building with multiple flats. Your photo is also displayed on your account throughout the platform.

Uploading a profile photo

To add or change your profile photo:

  • Hover over your avatar at the top of your profile page
  • Click the camera icon that appears
  • Select an image from your device (JPEG, PNG, or WebP formats)
  • Crop and position your photo as desired
  • Click "Save" to upload your new photo

Profile photo requirements

Your profile photo must meet the following requirements:

  • File format: JPEG, PNG, or WebP
  • Maximum file size: 5MB
  • Square images work best (you can crop during upload)

Removing your profile photo

To remove your profile photo, hover over your avatar and click the red delete button that appears in the corner. Confirm the removal when prompted. Your profile will then display your initials instead.

Changing your email address

For security reasons, you cannot change your email address directly from your profile. If you need to update your email, please contact our support team at support@servella.co.uk. We'll verify your identity and update your email address for you.

Marketing preferences

You can control whether you receive marketing communications from Servella. In the Personal Information section, you'll find a checkbox for marketing opt-in. If enabled, you'll receive occasional emails about special offers, promotions, and service updates. You can change this setting at any time.

Payment Methods

The Payment Methods section allows you to manage your saved cards. From here you can:

  • View all your saved payment cards
  • Add a new card for future bookings
  • Set a default payment method (used automatically when you book)
  • Remove cards you no longer use

My Addresses

The My Addresses section stores all the locations where you receive cleaning services. This is especially useful if you have multiple properties. From here you can:

  • View all your saved addresses
  • Add a new address
  • Edit address details or access instructions
  • Set a default address (pre-selected when booking)
  • Remove addresses you no longer need

Security settings

The Security section allows you to change your password. For your protection, you'll need to enter your current password before setting a new one. Your new password must meet our security requirements:

  • At least 8 characters long
  • At least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
  • At least one lowercase letter (a-z)
  • At least one number (0-9)

Changing your password

To change your password:

  • Go to your Profile page and select the "Security" tab
  • Enter your current password
  • Enter your new password (a strength indicator will show how secure it is)
  • Confirm your new password by typing it again
  • Click "Change Password" to save

  • Correct phone number ensures we can reach you about your bookings
  • Profile photo helps cleaners identify you easily
  • Accurate addresses prevent confusion on cleaning day
  • Valid payment methods ensure smooth, uninterrupted service
